News and Notes April 2017

Hello from the Radish Team

April brings a "shower" of good news!

Radish Receives Second Key Patent

Radish has been awarded another key patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for our ChoiceView® voice/data communications technology. This patent, which dates from 2009, significantly extends the reach of Radish's intellectual property from an environment of mobile apps and Windows software to an environment of web apps and websites. ChoiceView marries telephone and Internet technology for rich 'voice with visuals' calls.

This new patent addresses solutions for real customer problems — irritated callers tired of voice-only Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems, repeating information, long hold and processing times, and lack of self-service. It covers most any conceivable way for users to engage in voice-and-visual calls with businesses, even though they may not use a smartphone, have a pre-installed app, or expect anything other than a voice-only call. It also covers new system configurations for businesses resulting in even faster deployment and easier integration of next generation, multi-modal business communications. Learn more.

'Dosecast with ChoiceView' Named AARP 50+ Innovation Leader
We're pleased to announce that 'Dosecast with ChoiceView' was selected as one of the healthcare industry's 50+ Innovation Leaders, an AARP initiative administered by MedCityNews to recognize entrepreneurs, companies and ideas behind innovative new products and services for Americans aged 50 and older.

Dosecast, from Montuno Software, is a very popular mobile app used by patients worldwide for medication adherence and dosage reminders. Now ChoiceView is included in the enterprise version of the app, called Dosecast 360. The result is a unified mobile medication adherence and live visual assistance platform. Medical professionals really like that Dosecast provides an automatic medication / dosage reminder and patients achieve better results when they're visually coached by a medical professional. Case Study: Dosecast with ChoiceView

Here's how it works. A patient gets a medication reminder via the Dosecast mobile app. The patient takes the dose and logs personal notes for her glucose test rests. She has questions and taps the Care Circle button to be connected with ChoiceView to her health coach. The coach talks and shares multi-lingual visual information, such as diabetic diet plans and specific exercises, while coaching the patient to attain better health. The patient enters current glucose readings via an interactive form during the call so the coach can provide relevant feedback. Visual with voice information is proven to accelerate comprehension and retention, especially if callers are hard of hearing or don't understand the language well.
